Dr Alam has extensive general medical experience and after acquiring her postgraduate medical diploma, she completed specialist training in oncology at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. She has been a consultant since 2009.
Her main clinical interests are the treatment of breast cancer, sarcomas and cancers in teenagers and young adults. She is the Safeguarding Medical Lead for the Trust and an appraiser for consultants.
She is also an active participant in teaching and training junior doctors, and an educational and clinical supervisor.
