Dr Anthony Pope

Dr Pope graduated from Barts and The London School of Medicine in 2004, having completed an intercalated degree in biomedical science at the Wolfson Institute. He moved to the north west in 2008 and completed his oncology training at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre.

He specialises in all types of lung cancer (non-small cell, small cell and mesothelioma), using chemotherapy, radiotherapy, targeted therapy and immune therapy. He is the lung lead for Sterotactic Ablative Body Radiotherapy (SABR), accepting both local and regional referrals.

Dr Pope has a strong interest in research and leads several national and European trials involving SABR, intensity-modulated radiotherapy and immune therapy.
