Governors represent the interests of our members, staff and local public sector organisations and ensure that we are accountable to our local community.
The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust is committed to having governors who are representative of the communities we serve. They are elected or nominated to their positions and together they form our Council of Governors, chaired by the Trust Chair.
The Council of Governors works with the Board of Directors to influence the Trust’s future plans, ensuring that the voice of members and partners help inform the Trust’s decision-making
The Council of Governors is made up of:
- 11 elected public governors
- 4 elected staff governors
- 6 appointed governors who represent partner organisations
If you would like to get in touch with a governor please email Enquiries for Governors.

Election to the Council of Governors
As a Foundation Trust we have more control in how we shape the services we provide to ensure that they meet the needs of our local communities.
The Council of Governors enables us to hear the views of our patients, staff and those with interests in the NHS and our services. Joining the Trust as a member is completely free and becoming a member provides you with the opportunity to stand for election as a governor in one of seven geographic constituencies.
Details of elections to the Council of Governors will be published here during election periods.
