The Freedom of Information Act 2000 provides the public with the right to access recorded information held by the Trust. 

We must publish certain information under the Act. You can also ask for any information that is not published. This is known as making a request under the Freedom of Information Act (a FOI request). 

How to make a FOI request 

  • Send an email (address below) or send a letter in the post
  • Give a clear description of the information you need, including any timeframes
  • You must include your name or we cannot accept your request
  • We will respond to your request within 20 working days

Exemptions

Although you can make a request for information, we do not always have to provide that information. The Freedom of Information Act includes several exemptions where it would not be suitable for an organisation to provide the information being requested. An example is where providing the information could cause a security risk.
