Dr Jane Younger

Dr Jane Younger is a consultant psychiatrist working in psychological medicine. Before joining Clatterbridge in 2015, she worked in the psycho-oncology department at The Christie in Manchester from 2009 to 2014.

Dr Younger completed undergraduate training at Liverpool Medical School and her postgraduate training in psychiatry was in Manchester. She has been a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists since 2002. Dr Younger trained in general adult and old age psychiatry as well as liaison psychiatry.

Her current role involves working with patients with complex co-morbid physical and psychological health needs and she is particularly interested in patients’ long-term mental health following a diagnosis of cancer. This includes an interest in psycho-sexual problems and psychotherapy.
