Change is on the way for the café in Clatterbridge Cancer Centre – Liverpool (CCC-Liverpool) as we say farewell to Blackburne House and welcome a new provider: Cahoots Coffee Company.

And there will be some temporary changes to opening hours and café availability during the handover period:

  • The café and hospital trolley service will continue to be run by Blackburne House up until 2pm on Friday 1 May.
  • The new Cahoots Coffee Company café and trolley service will open at 9am on Monday 4 May (Bank Holiday Monday).
  • There will be no café or trolley service on Saturday 2 May – this is to enable preparations for the new Cahoots Coffee Company service. (The café is always closed on Sundays.)
  • Cahoots Coffee Company will have a reduced menu initially, while café staff familiarise themselves with the new system. The full range will be available when the new equipment needed for some items (e.g. hot pastries) arrives.

About Cahoots Coffee Company

Cahoots Coffee Company offers barista-quality blends sourced from ethical and sustainable suppliers.

They will have a loyalty card scheme, meal deals and special offers.

Once the full range is available, the café will have a varied food menu with:

  • Breakfast favourites such as toast and bacon barms
  • Lunch options including panninis, ciabattas and sandwiches, soup, baked potatoes, salads, hot pastries (e.g. steak bakes and sausage rolls), and pizza twists
  • Snacks, pastries, cakes and healthy options such as yoghurt pots, fruit salad and nuts

The café team will also welcome feedback and suggestions so they can make sure the menu reflects what CCC-Liverpool customers want.

Thank-you to Blackburne House

Blackburne House has been a big part of CCC-Liverpool for the last 5 years so we want to say a huge thank-you to all the team.

Some of the staff have decided to stay and join Cahoots Coffee Company so you might recognise some familiar faces when the new café opens on Monday 4 May.
