‘Attend Anywhere’ is our digital consultation assistant. You can dial in to your consultation using video conferencing technology from wherever is most convenient to you. Family, friends or loved ones can also virtually join from their location.
Attending your appointment virtually helps reduce travel time and travel costs for both you and your clinical team. It also helps reduce footfall on to our hospital sites and supports the staffing resources for busy on-site clinics.
Dr Anthea Cree, Clinical Oncologist said: “Our Digital Strategy is in place to offer digital solutions to staff, patients and their carers that help empower them, and support patient choice to access care. ‘Attend Anywhere’ video appointments are an excellent way to do just that.
“The system allows the patient to connect to their clinical team from the comfort of their home, or location of their choice – maybe they are on holiday or away relaxing for a few days and are unable, or simply don’t want to, travel to the hospital for a face-to-face consultation. Cost of travelling, time of travelling, ability to travel – there are lots of reason why a patient might choose to use video appointments and we want to support that choice.
“The ‘Attend Anywhere’ system is simple to use, anyone can access from a mobile phone (smartphone), tablet or computer and our teams are on hand to support you through the set up.”
