Every few months our Trust Board reviews how well we are delivering the Five Year Strategic Plan we launched in 2021. The plan set out our six key strategic priorities: Be Outstanding; Be Collaborative; Be a Great Place to Work; Be Research Leaders; Be Digital; and Be Innovative.
The report outlines the fantastic progress that everyone has played a part in over the last few years, the current position, and what we plan to focus on over the next few months. The latest report highlights recent achievements including:
Be Outstanding
- We are developing a CAR-T service in Haemato-Oncology and received positive feedback from JACIE inspectors
- Investment in estates improvements at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre - Wirral
- New Quality Strategy
Be Collaborative
- Paddington Community Diagnostic Centre opened in July 2023, providing a service for the NHS across Cheshire and Merseyside
- Joint working with other Liverpool hospitals
- We have established a new health inequalities steering group
Be a Great Place to Work
- Our second annual CCC Staff Excelence Awards took place in October
- Range of staff engagement sessions including Big Conversation’ events, ‘A Day in Your Shoes’ programme and ‘Pop-up Sessions’ with Chief Exec
- Developing health and wellbeing champions across the Trust
Be Research Leaders
- New Chair of Oncology appointed with University of Liverpool
- Two new early phase clinical research fellows appointed
- Staff given additional dedicated time for research in their job plans
Be Digital
- New Digital Strategy
- Outpatient transformation programme e.g. e-referrals and e-correspondence with patients
- Digital Maturity Assessment and cybersecurity accreditations
Be Innovative
- Looking at options for next phase of Paddington
- New Innovation Manager starting - will establish an Innovation Committee
- Innovative projects including outpatients transformation programme
