The Digital Team at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre are celebrating after two fantastic achievements over the past month.
Firstly, the team was awarded its Level 2 accreditation at the Informatics Skills Development Network, in recognition of the support and development offered to our informatics staff.
Informatics is an essential part of our structure here at CCC, using data, information and knowledge to improve our patients' experiences and the delivery of our services.
Led by Digital Project Manager Mark Evans and Business Intelligence Development Lead Neal Jones, CCC achieved this sought-after accreditation after proving our commitment to driving awareness of informatics. The team have demonstrated good practice and continually looked to improve and develop staff in the team, including offering training and the opportunity for apprenticeships.
CCC is one of only 10 Trusts in the North West to have the Level 2 Accreditation.
And secondly, congratulations to Aaron Key, Business Intelligence Apprentice who was recently awarded Apprentice of the Year at the Connect Conference in Blackpool. Aaron was acknowledged for his work in multiple business intelligence projects including our patient database Meditech, analysing radiotherapy data and supporting our COVID-19 vaccine data programme.
Aaron was nominated for the award by Paula Pickford, “Aaron is a valuable apprentice who impressed us from the moment he started the Data Analyst Level 4 course. Despite Aaron being one of the younger apprentices, he never fails to remain professional and acts as if he has been experienced in a professional environment. We’re delighted for Aaron that he’s been recognised in this way, it’s well deserved and we feel lucky to have him on our team.”
