The award “recognises a team or organisation that has developed a sustainable approach to innovation through the development of a positive workplace culture”.

Thanks to everyone at the Trust involved in the work which was submitted for the award, especially the Innovation team within the Research & Innovation Directorate.

Part of the award submission included the work of the Bright Ideas Scheme, which is funded by The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, so thanks to them for supporting it and everyone who has contributed to it.

Dr Gillian Heap, Director of Research & Innovation Operations, said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted for this award. Innovation is incredibly important to the Trust as it drives even more improvements in treatment and care for our patients and helps to support our staff in their tremendous work.

“The Bright Ideas Scheme and the development of an Innovation Strategy for the Trust will enhance this and it is great to know that the great work we have already done on innovation is being recognised.”

We are looking forward to the awards ceremony next month!
