Huge congratulations to the Myeloma Team on being awarded a plaque for the Clinical Service Excellence Programme by Myeloma UK.
The Clinical Service Excellence Programme is a best practice initiative which supports hospitals in delivering optimum, patient-focused myeloma treatment and care.
The aim of the programme is to encourage a consistent high standard of patient experience through compliance with a set of best practice standards developed by a team comprising healthcare professionals, patients, their families and carers.
Those awarded with the plaques have shown that they:
- Deliver superior treatment and care for myeloma patients
- Offer an individualised treatment and care approach, as well as an understanding of the complexities of managing myeloma
- Share knowledge between facilities and identify areas for improvement
- Develop services in line with myeloma patients and their family’s needs
- Provide evidence to commissioners and managers of the quality of myeloma treatment and care provided
