The final phase of external works at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre - Liverpool is about to begin. Gardening work and planting of the roof terrace gardens will be taking place over the next couple of weeks. This means certain areas will be barricaded off:
- The ambulance parking bays at the front of the hospital will be closed from 10pm tomorrow night (Saturday 18th September) until 8am on Monday 27th September. Ambulances and patient transport services will be directed to the rear service entrance.
- The pick-up and drop-off area on Pembroke Place / West Derby Street will be open for use by patients but the adjacent area will be cordoned off for use by ambulances and patient transport services.
Please remember that the pick-up/drop-off area is not a parking bay. It is to allow patients who may have limited mobility to be dropped off and picked up again safely and conveniently. Liverpool City Council parking wardens are now patrolling this area and the surrounding streets. Anyone who parks illegally may receive a parking ticket.
We provide free patient parking elsewhere - currently on Level 5 of Mount Pleasant Car Park - with a free shuttle bus service that runs regularly between the car park and the hospital. Our new Paddington Village Car Park will open this autumn.
