Who can make a referral
All medically-qualified hospital doctors with GMC registration can make a referral for an US scan via the Meditech System with appropriate clinical justification. If you are a resident doctor, the consultant in charge of the patient should be identified as being the referrer.
Non-medic referrals from outside The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre are not possible currently.
All referrers must comply with the procedures and criteria set by CCC, and restrictions may be imposed on individuals if these are not followed.
