Who can make a referral
All medically-qualified hospital doctors with GMC registration can make a referral for a CT scan. If you are a resident doctor, the consultant in charge of the patient should be identified as being the referrer.
Non-medic referrals from outside The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre must provide evidence to the CT department of their training and confirmation of NMR permissions before they refer a patient.

All referrers must comply with the procedures and criteria set by CCC in accordance with the latest IR(ME)R regulations, and restrictions may be imposed on individuals if these are not followed.
