The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre has been recognised for creating an outstanding digital solution to support staff development at the prestigious HSJ Digital Awards.

In a joint project, our Digital and Workforce and Organisational Development Team took home the award for Enhancing Workforce Engagement, Productivity and Wellbeing through Digital Award in a ceremony in Birmingham last week (Thursday 26th June 2025).

The award recognised the Trust's digital My Appraisal system. The My Appraisal system, a close collaboration between our Digital and Workforce teams, was launched in 2023 as a direct result of staff feedback and was designed to be provide a simple, intuitive and dynamic platform for reflect staff achievements and challenges.

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is working in partnership with software development company Coreshare to develop our Sharepoint solutions, which includes the My Appraisal system. 

The HSJ Digital Awards shine a light on teams and organisations driving meaningful change through technology, improving patient outcomes, streamlining processes and enhancing the overall quality of care.

Sarah Barr is Chief Information Officer at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. She said: “I am thrilled the work and dedication of the team has been recognised in this way.

Our Digital Team work tirelessly to ensure we can harness the power of digital and data through projects such as My Appraisal and our overall Be Digital strategy. It’s great to work with such a dedicated and skilled team who are really pushing CCC to the forefront of digital healthcare.”
