The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre has been shortlisted in three categories at the prestigious HSJ Digital Awards.

Chief Technology Officer James Crowther was shortlisted for Digital Leader of the Year.

James has overseen several major digital developments including managing the complexities of transferring dozens of inpatients into our new flagship Liverpool hospital, the opening of the new Paddington Community Diagnostic Centre and multiple infrastructure developments supporting change across Cheshire and Merseyside, particularly within Diagnostics.

James was nominated by colleagues who praised his leadership, innovation and impact.

The Trust’s Digital Team has been shortlisted for the Digital Literacy, Education and Upskilling category for Be Digital, one of the Trust’s six ambitious strategic priorities with a vision to transform the digital experiences of patients and staff.

The Trust's Workforce and Organisational Development Team and Digital Team also received a joint shortlisting for their part in the Trust’s new staff appraisal system, in the Enhancing Workforce Engagement, Productivity and Wellbeing through Digital Award.

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre has big ambitions when it comes to its digital strategy, with a bold vision to use digital tools to empower patients and staff and transform services, becoming a truly data-driven organisation.

The HSJ Digital Awards shine a light on teams and organisations driving meaningful change through technology, improving patient outcomes, streamlining processes, and enhancing the overall quality of care.

Sarah Barr is Chief Information Officer at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. She said: “I am thrilled the work and dedication of the team has been recognised in this way.
