Our arts activities aim to enhance patient experience to improve health and wellbeing. Participating in arts activities can support our patients by relieving boredom, improving mood, and reducing stress and anxiety.

Our artists in residence deliver regular arts activities that patients at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre – Liverpool can take part in. Artists and poets will visit patients before or during their treatment to create artwork and poetry.

We currently have makers (people who create things) from The Bluecoat Display Centre visiting the hospital to deliver creative sessions.

Arts projects

We work with local arts partners and organisations who deliver group and individual arts activities for our patients.

Current projects include a digital arts project with young people from our Teenage and Adult unit (TYA) and FACT Liverpool, who collaborated to produce this podcast featuring their personal stories and reflections.
