- Please drink all the fluid within 1-2 minutes. The clock will start when you finish drinking, not when you start. The drink is flavoured with a contrast agent (Gastrografin) which will outline the bowel so we can view it clearly on the scan.
- Once you have finished drinking, wait 40 minutes
- Now empty your bladder and inform the planning reception desk staff
- Your CT scan will take place approx 20 minutes later. We will ask you to empty your bladder again just before the CT scan
