The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust treats over 30,000 patients a year across Merseyside and Cheshire, with pioneering chemotherapy, radiotherapy and proton therapy treatments.

As an NHS Foundation Trust, with our ownership and accountability transferred from Whitehall to the local community, local residents, staff and all those who use our services can become ‘Members’ of the Trust and have a greater say in how we are run – ensuring that we are properly responsive to patients’ needs.

At The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre we are always looking to welcome new members to help us to provide a service that is responsive to the needs of our patients.

We already have over 5,000 Members of The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust. Would you like to become the next?

Become a Member - support us to make things better

By signing up as a Member of the NHS Foundation Trust, local people, patients and staff can have a direct influence on how our organisation operates. They can help us develop our plans, act as a sounding board for things we want to do, and support us to improve the services we offer.

Our Members have a number of important roles, including:

  • Being consulted on plans for future development of the Trust and our services
  • Electing their representatives to serve on the Council of Governors
  • Choosing to stand for election to the Council of Governors
  • Choosing to put themselves forward for appointment as a Non-Executive Director - including for the Chair of the NHS Foundation Trust.

Membership is completely free and you can choose to be involved as little or as much as you like - from receiving regular newsletters, taking part in discussion groups, to standing for and becoming a Governor.

Members do not receive preferential NHS treatment.
