Professionals: Working at the Centre

Message from the Chair of The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre aims to be a world-class provider of cancer services and the first choice for patients. As a Foundation Trust hospital, we have a clear vision of where we want to be in five years.

Financially stable and supported by our Council of Governors, we are on an exciting path to the future - leading the cancer agenda in Merseyside and Cheshire.

Our dedicated staff and volunteers do everything they can to provide the best cancer care to our patients to ensure their hospital experience is relaxed and comfortable as possible. Building on our success, we have recently expanded our Research and Innovation team who are carrying out an increasingly high number of leading edge clinical trials.

This coupled with nationally recognised short waiting times demonstrates how we continually strive to deliver the best service possible to our patients, now and in the future.

We also believe that our proposals to expand our services into the centre of Liverpool will help us achieve this. Our Transforming Cancer Care project is a once in a lifetime opportunity to transform cancer services and it’s an incredibly exciting time for the region.

Our radiotherapy department is one of the best equipped in the country and thanks to our radiotherapy equipment investment strategy it will continue to be amongst the most modern in Europe.

The desire for continuous improvement for our service is not only driven by NHS reform and patient choice, our healthcare professionals have an innovative approach and are encouraged to focus on changes that will benefit our patients.

If you like a challenge and want to join the team at a hospital that is going places – then we want to hear from you.

Good luck with your application and I hope I have the opportunity to meet you soon.
