Citizens Advice Liverpool on Prescription aims to improve mental health and wellbeing by supporting patients with non-medical issues that may impact their health. It helps patients work towards debt reduction, financial stability, better housing and employment conditions, and reduced social isolation.
All health professionals working in Liverpool can refer patients to the service, as many have concerns that can’t be addressed medically.
Cancer affects every aspect of a person’s life. The diagnosis can set in motion a rollercoaster of appointments and treatment, which can make ordinary parts of life more difficult for a patient to manage, from going to work or doing the shopping, to caring responsibilities for family or pets.
Live Well With Cancer is a social prescribing service offered by Wellbeing Liverpool in partnership with Citizens Advice Liverpool.
The service can help patients take care of these practical concerns, as well as offering therapeutic support for things like anxiety or depression – enabling patients to focus on getting well.
