Dorothy Williams from Liverpool was diagnosed with multiple myeloma - an incurable blood cancer - in 1996. It was a condition she had never heard of before and when she was first diagnosed she thought treatment would just involve some antibiotics. Now Dorothy has shared her story to raise awareness of myeloma and offer support and encouragement to others diagnosed with it.

Clatterbridge Cancer Centre - Wirral is celebrating 65 years of providing expert, compassionate cancer care since it opened in 1958. Helen Blanchard has an incredible family connection to the hospital. Her mum was one of the very first therapeutic radiographers to work there and Helen also trained and worked there as a nurse.
