Become a Governor for The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust.

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is a specialist cancer centre in the UK serving a population of 2.4 million across Cheshire and Merseyside. With 1,500 specialist staff, we are one of the largest NHS providers of non-surgical cancer treatment and we are consistently rated as one of the best performing hospitals in the Care Quality Commission’s national inpatient survey.

We care for over 35,000 patients per year and manage in excess of 250,000 patient contacts at our three main hub sites and 17 outpatient sites across the region. We have recently opened a new state-of-the-art hospital in Liverpool as part of our £162m investment to transform cancer care in Cheshire and Merseyside. As part of this, we will also be refurbishing our Wirral site, so now is a really exciting time to get involved in our Trust.

Being a Governor at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre provides an opportunity to play a pivotal role in influencing how decisions are made and how services are developed, to have your voice heard and represent the views of others. Cancer affects 1 in 2 people, so each and every one of us will be touched by it in some way.

We are now holding elections in the following public constituencies:

  • Cheshire West & Chester - 1 seat
  • Sefton - 1 seat
  • Wirral & the rest of England - 2 seats
  • Wales - 1 seat
