Charity Events Terms & Conditions

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • I/We understand that this is a fundraising event and I/we pledge to raise at least the minimum required for taking part in Lead The Way.
  • Entry fees are non-refundable as they help the Charity to cover the cost of staging the event.
  • Lead The Way is a walk and not a race.
  • By participating, I/We understand that participation in this event is at my/our own risk and that the organisers cannot be held responsible for injury, accident, loss, damage, or public liability caused or sustained as a result of participation.
  • I/We can confirm that I/we have a reasonable state of health and fitness; if there are any concerns about my/our physical condition required to take part that I will consult with a doctor first.
  • I/We understand that The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity may take photographs of me/us participating in Lead The Way and permit the Charity to use these images for promotional purposes. Please contact a member of staff on the day if you do not wish for any photograph to be used.
  • If signing for a young adult/child, I/we give permission for their photograph to be used.
  • All under 16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18+.
  • I/We have read and accepted the conditions of entry to Lead The Way, an event created and staged by The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, and accept the rules and regulations associated with it.
  • Dogs are permitted at Lead The Way and are free of charge, they must however remain on a lead at all times.
  • Any litter MUST be discarded yourself into a local bin, or taken home with you. The same applies to any dog waste.

POOCH PARADE

  • The Pooch Parade only applies to Lead The Way: Crosby, and Lead The Way: Wirral.
  • Where possible, entry to the Pooch Parade should be confirmed prior to the event day by booking online or by calling 0151 556 5566.
  • Should participation be secured on the day, The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity cannot be held responsible if there is no ‘free gift’ available for the dog participating.
  • Judges decisions are final.
  • Dogs will be introduced to the judges one by one to comply with Covid-19 restrictions.
  • There will be no large gathering for the Pooch Parade, and dogs will be asked to showcase their talents directly to the judges ahead of a decision which will be made following the completion of the event.
  • Please ensure that any dog waste is disposed of properly by yourself.

COVID-19

  • If you, or your guests, are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 we ask that you please do not attend the event.
  • It is the responsibility of all participants to ensure that they and their guests comply with all social distancing measures implemented by The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity (2 metres – this will be confirmed by signage on the day). Anyone who is seen to be breaking these guidelines will be asked to leave the venue and will not be offered a refund.
  • Payment methods will be communicated to participants prior to the event, but it should be generally accepted that contactless will be the preferred method of payment.
  • All participants should remain in their groups and not mix with others.
  • Participants will follow all guidelines provided on the day by the team from The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity.
  • All participants will follow UK Government guidelines set out and required at that time.
