We really enjoying sharing some amazing stories and this one comes from Alex Inwood, David Morris, Andrew Chean, and Ian Clegg who took on Challenge Cancer Cycle and won! Alex is a long-term supporter of the Charity and continues to tackle our annual bike ride with great enthusiasm and commitment.
“Personally I am always committed to this ride, unfortunately my brother Neil passed from cancer eight years ago; his treatment at Clatterbridge for his very aggressive throat cancer was excellent. The staff always put Neil and the family at ease, their commitment, compassion and professionalism were without question world class, I can’t thank them enough. The other guys within the group have all been affected by this horrible disease in one way or another, we all thought it right to complete the ride in support of this wonderful charity.”
The team clocked up a fantastic 352 miles between them, and as you will see they took some great photos demonstrating just how much they enjoyed it. Adding to all of that, they raised an amazing £750 – thank you!
We continue to be in awe of our cyclists; their commitment, strength, and enthusiasm never fades as we continue to test them year in year out. If you are looking to join our amazing cyclists, check out our list of events that you could take on in the near future, or get in touch with us if you would like to take on Challenge Cancer Cycle in your own time by emailing ccf-tr.fundraising@nhs.net or 0151 556 5566.
