Virtual Events

The coronavirus Pandemic has changed the way we live in many ways. If your fundraising plans have changed, your event has been postponed or cancelled we've put together some brilliant ideas for virtual fundraising that you can do from the comfort of your own home - or in your local area.

From virtual cycles, runs, walks and swimming events to gaming, quizzing, upcycling and more - there's a whole host of virtual fundraising events you can do to support Clatterbridge Cancer Charity. We thank you for your continued support, and with your help we can continue to provide the very best care possible to cancer patients across the region.

For many of us, streaming has become second-nature to us so why not harness the power of technology and take on a streaming challenge for Clatterbridge?

With so many different options available, this is a fantastic way to socialise with your family and friends and connecting with like-minded people across the globe.

Why not host a Netflix movie marathon using Teleparty and ask everyone to donate what you would pay for a cinema ticket?

Or you could organise a 24hr online gaming tournament - great for those who like a challenge!

Jake (pictured right) hosted his own Clatterbridge: Game On event, and raised over £700 for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity following the care his Dad received from The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre.

Everyone loves a good Pub Quiz, and nothing beats competing against our friends for first place!

Why not set up a JustGiving page, and using Skype, Zoom or Google Hangouts you can organise your very own virtual Pub Quiz from the comfort of your own home.

You could even offer prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners - whatever you do this is a fantastic way of getting everyone together to support Clatterbridge Cancer Charity.

Who says exercise has to be boring? Take on a virtual physical challenge, and together we will transform cancer care for generations.

There's a world of virtual physical challenges out there, and there's something for everyone. Whether you take on a virtual run, swim 10,000 lengths in your local pool or cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats in your Spin Class virtual physical challenges are widely available for everyone, of all abilities.

If you're stuck for inspiration, get in touch with our Charity Team who can help provide you with route maps from some of our favourite events, including Lead The Way. Or, if you really want to push yourself why not ask for the GPX from our Challenge Cancer Cycle or Ride of the Roses cycles?

Mel (pictured left) ran 100 miles throughout October 2021 and raised more than £3,000 for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity following the incredible care her sister was given at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre: Liverpool.

Upcycling and decluttering is not only good for the environment, but it's also a great way of fundraising for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity.

From unwanted Christmas gifts to clearing out your clothes there are tons of websites and apps you can use to sell and declutter. Why not donate what you make from your sales to Clatterbridge, and you could help to save even more lives.

You could also organise a virtual clothes swap with your family and friends. These are great fun, and a fantastic way of making sure your clothes get a new lease of life!

Use Zoom, Skype or Google Hangouts, and ask everyone involved to make a donation to Clatterbridge Cancer Charity for taking part.

If Upcycling is your thing, why not ask everyone to make a donation for upcycling their homeware. Whatever you choose to do, you can rest assured you will be helping to make a huge difference to the lives of cancer patients throughout Merseyside, Cheshire and beyond.
