The Hospital Hike is here!
This spring the challenge is simple; walk or run the distance between our three hospital sites in your home or neighbourhood. We work this out to be 60 miles (going the long way!). Take on the challenge alone or with your household and help to raise vital funds for The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity as we work harder than ever to support our patients and staff at this difficult time. Every step you take will help our cancer patients to take their first small steps and now more than ever your support will be vital in helping us to achieve this.
How does it work?
It's quite simple: use your daily exercise to reach 60 miles in distance! This should be done in and around your home or neighbourhood - please respect the rules of social distancing and follow government guidance.
Can I fundraise for this?
If you would like to of course! You can set up a JustGiving page at justgiving.com/clatterbridgecc choosing 'personal challenge'. Then simply your page to say what you are doing and why, then start sharing it!
Do I get a fundraising pack?
Unfortunately not as we are not sending out any post in the current lockdown. We will of course though get a medal to you afterwards! We have created a distance chart for you to log your exercise, and also celebratory badges for you to download. If you are taking part though and wish to speak to us, click on the main button below to let us know you are taking part.
I would like to do this, what's next?
Start thinking about what type of exercise you may do, walking, running, or cycling, and how many miles you want to do each day. We have set the challenge for spring and that ends on June 19th 2020. Then get started! Use the distance planner as a way of working out what you might like to do. This is in editable pdf format for those of you without a printer.
Once you know what you would like to do, get started! Wishing you the very best with your health and happiness during this difficult time.
In addition to our continued support for cancer care, we are also currently getting ready to open a brand new dedicated cancer hospital – Liverpool’s first – in the heart of the city, giving our patients access to the most advanced cancer treatment, facilities and expertise; along with ground breaking research all on one site. Not only this, but by joining us this spring your sponsorship will help fund significant investments in our current site in Wirral and across our 18 other sites.
There is no entry fee or minimum sponsorship requirement to take part in Hospital Hike, all we ask is you try and raise whatever you can to help us offer the best cancer care we possible. You can set up a JustGiving page by going to.
Good luck and stay safe! firstname.lastname@example.org or 0151 556 5566.
