London to Paris - Tour de France
Where: London and Paris
What: Cycle challenge
Cost: £125 registration, £800 cost
Fundraising: Raise what you can!
The London to Paris Bike Ride is an awesome cycling challenge and is by far one of the best fundraising events in Europe, attracting hundreds of riders each year and raising thousands for charities nationwide.
You’ll spend 4 days in the saddle, cycling 308 miles from capital to capital. Your journey begins in London with the route taking you through glorious English countryside as we cycle from Kent to Dover, before crossing the Channel to Calais. Once across the water, you start cycling ‘French style’, remembering to keep to the right! You will cycle along quiet French country lanes, through traditional market towns with views of the rolling green hills of Northern France, passing the war memorials and cemeteries of the Somme.
A spectacular finish awaits you as you reach the home stretch up the Champs Elysées to the Arc de Triomphe, before reaching the piece de resistance, the Eiffel Tower, which marks your finish line. The days in the saddle may be long but the sense of achievement you’ll feel crossing the finish line and the euphoric atmosphere as you celebrate our achievements in this magnificent capital, the saddle soreness soon wears off!
There are two options, you can join a challenge that finishes the day before the Tour de France giving you the chance to watch the finish of 'le Tour' the very next day, or choose any other date and enjoy Paris during a quieter time! Simply register with us and let us know which you would like to choose.
