3-2-1 Run Green

The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity has made the difficult decision to postpone it’s 3-2-1 Run Green event this Sunday, 9 February 2020.

The Met Office have issued warnings due to the arrival of ‘Storm Ciara’ this weekend, which “will bring heavy rain and widespread gales to the UK”, and locally, gusts of wind up to 55mph are expected.

The safety of our participants and supporters, along with their enjoyment of the event is paramount; and due to the nature of the colour obstacle run, we feel that it would be unsafe to go ahead with the event as the weather forecast stands.

We hope you will join us on the new date of Sunday 15 March 2020. All registrations will be transferred to this new date, if you have any queries, please contact the Fundraising team on 0151 556 5566.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and do hope our supporters will understand our decision.

Are you ready?

3-2-1 Run Green in 2019 was a fantastic success, raising over £30,000 for the charity! So for now the second time ever, we're giving you the chance to run and raise cash, right on our doorstep! The cherry on top of Let's Go Green Week will see hundreds of you descend on our hospital site to run, jog or walk green. A messy, fun-packed day for the whole family!

Every year, we see thousands of people with cancer, their family and friends, who come to Clatterbridge to receive our outstanding cancer care and to show support for our charity, so this time we want you to come along for a very different reason. 3-2-1... let's go!

"We were so proud to take part as a family and the kids loved throwing paint at us! It's not often everyone can get involved and we all enjoyed the fundraising. We made so many fantastic memories and had so much fun, I can't wait for February for us all to take part again!"

Alex Clerc, participant 2019

Why 3-2-1?

3... Obstacles!

You'll have big fun as you make your way through / over / under our obstacles! You'll laugh your way around the course, and if that isn't your thing, we've got a special route to go around them instead! For 2020 we have upgraded from 3 obstacles to 6, all new and all improved!

2... Routes (NEW FOR 2020!)

We've created an exclusive 2km route which will take you around the hospital site, and an extended 5km route to take you around the hospital and the surrounding land - this is a beautiful country setting, running through the Lord Leverhulme Estate! You can therefore run/walk/jog anywhere from 2km, up to 10km, with a combination of routes, so come along, get green, and be in control of how far you run!

1... Colour - GREEN!

If that's not enough fun, we're adding a splash of colour to get extra messy. It wouldn't be Let's Go Green week without being covered head to toe in our favourite colour! We'll have our Green Powder Paint Stations situated out on the route ready to cover you head to toe in green! 2020 will see a THIRD powder paint station added to the route, a chance for you to get even greener!

Why stop there? We'd love to see you in your best green clothes or fancy dress too... whether you're an alien, a Hulk or a Tinkerbell, you can dress to impress, as long as it's green - we have a prize ready for the best fancy dress so come prepared!

1 in 2 of us will be touched by cancer in our lives, so by taking part in 3-2-1 Run Green, you'll be helping The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity to continue transforming cancer care for people right across our region.

Everyone can take part, whether it's to celebrate a life, remember a loved one or just enjoy time with family and friends.
