Glow Green: Snowdon Sunrise will take place on Sunday 24th September 2023.
The walk itself will set off at 03:00, so we ask that you arrive at the Community Centre from 01:30am to check in and receive your safety briefings from the team.

If you are a participant please ensure that you have the appropriate kit as failure to turn up with adequate waterproofs, boots, and torch, may result in you not taking part. Join us for a mountain challenge with a difference…
as we take our Glow Green Night Walk to Snowdon!
Our team of experts will guide you up the mountain from 3am, lighting a path to the top, in time to take in the early morning
sunrise.
On every step on this stunning nine-mile challenge,
you’ll see the famous Yr
Wyddfa in a whole new light, before you experience that
special time of day together as a team.
Whether you’re celebrating a life, taking on a
personal challenge or remembering a loved one, you’ll be changing the lives of
local people with cancer.
While we can’t plan for perfect weather, we can
promise that this will be a walk to remember as you set off in the dark from
Llanberis Community Centre (don't forget your head torch!). Wrap up in your brightest, greenest outfit, grab
your glowsticks and head to the summit, before heading back for breakfast to
celebrate your achievement with friends and family.
Glow Green: Snowdon Sunrise is a guided trek with a fully
qualified mountain adventure team who will give you a full briefing and check your kit before supporting you on the mountain. Suitable for groups and individuals aged
16+.

Glow Green: Snowdon Sunrise starts from Llanberis Community Centre (LL55 4UR), and once we've set off we will then climb up to the Summit before making our way back down to the Community Centre.

What kit do I require?
Equipment
- Rucksack – at least 25 litres
- Rucksack liner (or bin bag) to keep rain out!
- Trekking poles highly recommended for tired legs on descent
- Suncream/sunglasses/sun hat
- Mobile phone in sealed plastic bag
- First Aid Kit personal blister protection/Compeed, ibruprofen/painkillers, plasters
- Head torch - strong
Clothing
- Base layer or T-shirt (not cotton)
- Walking trousers (not jeans)
- Fleece jacket or top Spare warm layer in rucksack
- Waterproof jacket
- Waterproof trousers (separate to your walking trousers)
- Warm hat
- Warm gloves
Footwear
- Sturdy, comfy walking boots with ankle support
- Comfortable walking socks + spare pair
Food & Drink
- 2 x 1 litre reusable water bottles (filled with water to start)
- Packed lunch
- Snacks / extra juice drinks
- Plastic bag to take your rubbish home

How much is it to take part?
Entry fees for Glow Green: Snowdon Sunrise are as follows:
- Adults (16+): £39
Parking
Parking is available at Dolbadarn Castle, LL 55 4UB, located just a couple of minutes walk away from the Community Centre.
Staff will be on hand to help and direct you. There is a charge for the car park available to pay on the day.
Fundraising and Donation Questions
As with all Charity events it's vitally important that we look to raise as much as we can for our cause, and Glow Green: Snowdon Sunrise is no different.
For this event we ask that each participant fundraises a minimum of £100 per person.
Registration fees help the Charity to cover the cost of staging the event, and the fundraising helps us to provide outstanding care, support and facilities to those who need The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in our region.

By taking part in Snowdon Sunrise, you are helping us to deliver pioneering cancer care to patients throughout our region. 1 in 2 of us will be affected by cancer, but with your help we can be at the forefront of cancer treatments, and we can fund vital research, the latest therapies, and innovations in cancer treatment.
We are so often told that The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is unlike any other hospital. The Charity has funded a range of projects which help to to make Clatterbridge a place that stays in people’s hearts, including bringing cancer treatment closer to patients’ homes and breaking boundaries by becoming the first in the UK to offer a number of treatments.
