Sunday 10 September @ Liverpool Water Sports Centre
Get ready to Race!
We are so excited to launch our first ever Dragon Boat Race! Dragon boating is a fun-filled, adrenaline pumping, water sports activity and is quickly becoming one of the most loved water sports across the world.
You and your team will race through the waters of Kings Dock, in large canoe-like vessel, ornately decorated with dragons head and tail, all in support of the Clatterbridge Cancer Charity.
A team requires 17 members. 16 rowers who will sit in pairs and paddle together in multiple races across the day, competing to win the 1st place trophy. Each boat will also need a drummer who's job it is to keep the rest of the team in unison.
Dragon Boating is a sport for all abilities and no experience is required. You will receive full training, safety briefings and support on the day, from the fantastic Amathus Dragon Boat Club, who will supply you with all the equipment needed.
How do I get involved?
If you would like to get involved with the Dragon Boat Race, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org or give us a call on 0151 556 5566 and a member of the team will be able to help.
Can we have more than 17 people in our team?
Yes - you can! The more the merrier.
Teams with more than 17 crew members will be asked to operate on a rotation basis, where different members will compete in different legs of the race.
What if we can't recruit 17 people?
Not to worry- your team can still compete in the race! Your team will need a even amount of rowers.
If you have any concerns about recruiting a full team, email the charity office on ccf-tr.fundraising.nhs.net and we might be able to put you in touch with a similar group.
How much does it cost to enter?
The overall cost to register a team is £340.00 and we kindly ask that you fundraise £100.00 per person.
What Will You Get By Joining Team Clatterbridge?

We are so often told that The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is unlike any other hospital. The Charity has funded a range of projects which help to to make Clatterbridge a place that stays in people’s hearts, including bringing cancer treatment closer to patients’ homes and breaking boundaries by becoming the first in the UK to offer a number of treatments.
