Happy Birthday to The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity!
As we celebrate 26 years of supporting local people with cancer, we're asking you to host a Clatterbridge Tea Party for us this summer!
In 1996, The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre introduced a charitable fund – for those patients, their families and our community who wanted to give something back for the incredible care it provides and The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity was formed.
Today, thanks to the millions of pounds donated by you since 1996, The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity is achieving so much for local people with cancer, which may not have been possible through NHS funding alone.
Today, Clatterbridge sees over 36,000 patients every year at our centres in Liverpool, Aintree and Wirral, and our chemotherapy hubs across the region. Donations to our charity help to improve facilities, fund ground-breaking research and develop new therapies which have shaped cancer care for local people.
To celebrate our 26th anniversary, we’re asking you to join in and raise money with your own Clatterbridge Tea Party! Anybody can take part: whether it’s a tea party with your nearest and dearest, cake and coffee with your neighbours, or a beige buffet at work, we hope that it’s the perfect way to get together and celebrate the lives of those who have survived cancer, remember lost loved ones, or just a great excuse to raise money while enjoying some tasty treats!
DONATE - We know times are tough for a lot of people, but if you are able to give, you can make a donation here

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is one of the largest networked cancer centres in the UK
The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity is the only dedicated charity for patients and research at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. The Centre makes over 220,000 patient contacts to over 30,000 patients a year, offering pioneering chemotherapy, radiotherapy and proton therapy treatments from eighteen operating sites across Merseyside and Cheshire.
By choosing to support our charity, you will help us to improve patient experience, fund vital research, the latest therapies and innovations in cancer treatment.
We are so often told that The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is unlike any other hospital. We pride ourselves on providing an environment in which patients receive the best possible experience, with the special touches that mean so much. It is so important to us that we can do this for our patients, at our centres in Liverpool, Wirral and Aintree along with our network of chemotherapy clinics in hospitals across the region.
