Well done to all our riders who took part in this year's event!

What a gargantuan effort from all our riders in such terrible weather conditions, you're a brave bunch and we couldn't be more proud of the effort you put in to completing the ride

Comments from 2017 Cyclists

"Just wanted to thank you and your wonderful team for organising the event. I know the immense amount of time and effort organising small events let alone this mammoth effort. Everybody I talked to was very complimentary about the event. Really enjoyed the ride despite having to get off the bike on one section of Jeffrey Hill. Lesson learnt; I shall use my road bike next year!"

“What an amazing day. Very well organised event, friendly staff and very helpful. “

"Congratulations on Ride of the Roses, another brilliantly planned and catered sportive. My third and not my last, some really evil little climbs but great people and I'm sure the scenery was beautiful on the climbs but I was looking at my front wheel for most of them"

"Thank you so much for staging the ride of the roses yesterday. The volunteers were fantastic in terrible conditions! The route was great and the organisation even better! The discomfort we suffered is nothing in comparison to the people having to attend your centre, so we are pleased to help. Thank you again"

"Thanks for organising a great day yesterday!"

Let's Ride

There is a choice of three circular routes of 50, 80 or 100 miles all on road starting in Banks, Southport.

The three routes will each take you along stunning Lancashire country lanes. The 80 mile and 100 mile routes will include some cycling through and around the Trough of Bowland, an area of outstanding beauty! All three routes are designed to be challenging but the 50 mile route has fewer challenging hills but is equally as scenic. We strongly advise only experienced cyclists take on the epic 100 mile route which has over 6,000 ft of climbing, time to work those quads!

The routes are signposted, and maps will be available on the day. Routes can be viewed below and can be downloaded to Garmin Computers.

Please note the routes are however subject to change depending on emergency repairs.

Download the routes here (you will need to be logged in to your Garmin) If you have any problems downloading, the links below will also take you to the route info where you can download the routes in either GPX or KML formats.

***Early Bird Registration!!! ***
