One Million Step Challenge

This winter, we're teaming up with The Bloom Appeal to get Merseyside moving!

Stepping together for young people with cancer in Merseyside & Cheshire, you can be a healthier you while helping two charities do something incredible. Can you walk, dance, jump or run your way to 1million steps in 100 days and help us raise £100,000 to build a new cancer unit in Liverpool for Teenagers and Young Adults?

You will need to take at least 10,000 steps a day to reach your million, but however you do it, you can do it your way.

Use your fitbit, pedometer or smartphone to record your steps. It's as simple as that!

Go solo or even get your family, friends and colleagues involved. You can even split the million steps between a few people for a more achievable goal!

However you do it, you'll be supporting two of our areas best loved charities; The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity's new cancer hospital appeal and The Bloom Appeal - Merseyside against blood cancers.

Why take part?

Not only will you be moving towards a healthier you, but you'll be helping two of Merseyside & Cheshire's best loved charities.

Last year, treatment for solid tumour cancers and blood cancers were brought together in Liverpool for the first time. Now, The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is building a brand new cancer hospital in the heart of the city.

We know that many teenagers and young people are affected by blood cancers, so we've teamed up with Bloom to fund a brand new unit at the hospital for these patients. It'll be a dedicated space for youngsters to receive their cancer treatment, with access to the facilities and services they need, specialist staff and a space where they can chill out and socialise with people their age.

But we need your help! Every step you take takes us closer to that £100,000 we need to build this incredible unit.
