BBC national radio has featured CCC's cutting-edge clinical research.
Following news reports of a new cancer vaccine study being launched by an NHS research hospital in London, Radio 5 Live wanted to understand how the technology works and talk to a patient who has already experienced the treatment.
Radio 5 Live Drive interviewed CCC’s Director of Clinical Research Prof Christian Ottensmeier and his patient Adrian Taylor, who is taking part in one of our cancer vaccine clinical trials.
Adrian is showing remarkable success on the trial that Prof Ottensmeier leads after his head and neck cancer spread to his lung. Tumours have reduced by around 90% since the start of his therapy.
On the radio, Adrian spoke about his diagnosis and how the treatment had given him and his family hope for the future and Prof Ottensmeier talked about the future for cancer vaccine research.
