Our Standards

Our mission is to improve health and wellbeing through compassionate, safe and effective cancer care.

We are always looking to improve in everything we do and ensure we are continuously learning.

Quality and safety is at the heart of what all our staff aim to achieve for the patients in our care.

We are determined to improve people's health and wellbeing by delivering against a set of objectives which will ensure the quality of our services continues to improve.

It’s also important we are open and honest about the quality and safety of our services, as we believe that the public has a right to know how their specialist cancer centre is performing.

We agree a number of Commissioning for Quality and Innovation (CQUIN) initiatives with our Commissioners every year. Further details of all CQUINs are available at https://www.england.nhs.uk/nhs-standard-contract/cquin/

We want the information we provide to be relevant, adequate and easy to understand. Please let us know how we can improve by contacting the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) via ccf-tr.pals@nhs.net.

ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised Quality Management System Standard that is designed to help organisations to manage, monitor and continually improve service quality. The Radiotherapy directorate has been accredited to the Standard since 1998.

The scope of certification covers the delivery of Radiotherapy, Physics and Radiology services. Compliance with the standard requires that the Trust demonstrates a commitment to quality and safety across all levels of the organisation and can show evidence of monitoring of quality and resulting improvements to the service provided to patients.

In 2021, The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust was awarded UKAS accreditation for imaging services against the Quality Standard for Imaging (QSI) 2019.
